She is Three!!!!

It is difficult to believe that my little girl is now three years old. Wow!
Caroline is such a joy and has grown up soooooo much this past year. She loves to take care of her baby "Cata". She usually beats me to his room with paci and lovey in hand. She loves to play with her babies and doll house. She loves to set the table, put her clothes away and is always asking "how can I help you mama". God has given her a very serving heart. Caroline also loves dancing (naked most of the time) and singing. She usually makes up her own songs. Caroline is our sugar and spice and everything nice. Happy Birthday baby girl!!!
On her special day we woke up and and opened presents. For dinner we went to her favorite place, Jason's Deli. After dinner we went to Build a Bear. She was able to pick an animal and stuffed it but also put her paci in it. Now that she was three she could no longer have her paci. She was very excited to have this pony but when she got home and could not have her paci, it was a different story. She even asked for a knife so she could cut it out. It took many nights with her crying herself to sleep. It was very sad. She no longer had her comfort that she had had since she was a baby. After a week she finally started sleeping at night without it. She probably will not nap again. Luckily she will not remember this difficult transition.

1st Visit from the Tooth Fairy

I can't believe my "baby" has lost his 1st tooth. Wow, where has the time gone?? It just seems like yesterday he was getting his first teeth. I cried when he first told me it was loose. I know that sounds crazy but that is a big sign he is growing up.
Anyway, he lost his tooth when I was out. He was very excited to put it under his pillow but didn't want the tooth fairy to take it. He wants to keep his teeth (very much like his mother). So we wrote a note asking the tooth fairy not to take his tooth but to please leave a gift. The next morning he found a note back to him and some Star Wars legos. The tooth fairy always gives big gifts for the 1st tooth:)
We love you Caden!!!

Mother's Day

We went to Burlington and spent time with the MawMaw's. We had a cook out and played outside. It was a lot of fun!!! On Mother's day we went to Uncle Norman's lake house. It was Carter's 1st boat ride. He liked it. He even fell asleep. What a great weekend celebrating being a mom!!!

Strawberry picking

We went down the street to Page Farms to pick some yummy strawberries. Grandpa and Grandpa came too. The kids had to find all of the juicy, red ones. That wasn't a problem because they all looked great!!! We had a lot of fun. Sorry Carter, you can eat some next time!!!

Awanas award's night

Caden moved up to Sparks this year at Awanas. He really loved going this year. His book was a lot harder but he loved memorizing his verses each week. He loved keeping up with everybody else's progress. He does love competition. Wonder where he gets that from????
We got to go and celebrate his accomplishments in Awanas this year. Caroline loved all of the singing and can't wait until she can be a Cubbie next year!!!!

A Rainy day!!!

It was a rainy day so I decided to take the kids to the library. They had to wear thier rain boots. It ended up not raining very much so we were able to play on the playground at the library too!!!

Soccer Star

This was Caden's 4th soccer season. He had his best friend Kyle playing on his team this season. They had a lot of fun competing in the games. Jack always came and hung out while they were playing. Caroline and Sammy had a lot of fun too playing on the side lines!!!

Lambs

We have really enjoyed LAMBS this year. The kids and I studied the book of Daniel. We learned how Daniel was a great man of God and we need to be more like Danie. Caroline especially loved her class. Her teachers were Ms. Robin and Ms. Cathy. She loved them so much and would sing all of the songs she learned. Wow, what an amazing job they did at touching his little girl's heart and teaching her more about Jesus!!! Thanks LAMBS!

My Little Guy!

Carter began sitting up in his crib. Now that he can get from laying to sitting he doesn't go to sleep so quickly. One afternoon I caught him sleeping in a sitting position. :( He looked so sad but so cute!!
Caroline loves to dress baby Carter up in her princess gear. He has been Snow White, Ariel and any other princess she can think of. I am sure he will love these pics when he is older!!!

From Africa to North America in one day!

I took the kids to the NC Zoo for the day. We went with several of our friends. We started in Africa and then took the bus over to North America. I think the favorite animal was the Polar Bear. We also loved watching the seals swim. Can't wait to go back with Daddy!!!

Easter Day!!!

On Easter day we went to MawMaw's and had lunch and an Easter Egg hunt. The kids had fun but I think that Daddy had the most fun climbing the tree!!!

No more training wheels!!!

The kids and I went over the Barbours when Brandon was out of town. Caden wanted to try riding his bike without training training wheels. Heather said that she would help him since she taught Cailey and Braden. He hopped on Cailey's pink bike and Heather only had to help him twice. After that he was cruising around on two wheels. He was so excited that he had to tell everyone including his buddy Kyle. Kyle was very upset about this news. He said, "don't tell me anymore about it, it is stressing me out". Kyle and Caden are very competitive. It was about a week and Kyle was on two wheels and the two boys were cruising around together.

Easter Hunt 2010

The Hileman's invited us to an Easter Egg Hunt at their house. There were about 20 kids and babies at the hunt. The kids all enjoyed having to find a certain color and having surprises in the eggs. Caroline wanted to eat all of her candy immediately and Caden saved his. Carter just liked sucking on the plastic eggs. Sorry, no candy for you this year Carter! :)

Big Snow of the season

We had a big enough snow that we were able to go sledding and have snowball fights. Caden really enjoyed sledding with Daddy and Jack. Caroline just wanted me to pull her around the neighborhood. Carter put on his snowsuit just for a picture. We love playing in the snow and then coming in for hot chocolate!

Carter's 1st Haircut

Carter was 6 months when he got his 1st haircut. His hair was the longest of our three kids. He did really well for his cut. He didn't cry at all. What a great baby!!!
